Buckthorn Cutting Extravaganza!
Buckthorn Removal Volunteer Day — Earley Lake
We are cutting buckthorn to improve the shoreline and surrounding area of Earley Lake.
When: Friday October 2nd at 9:00am
Where: East side of the lake, on the path by the senior living center.
What to bring: Gloves (we will provide tools; wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing)

Buckthorn Cutting Day
Each fall the City of Burnsville has a buckthorn pick-up program for buckthorn and willow that has been cut down around the lake. Buckthorn is an invasive species and it is quite a task to keep it under control. The city will be picking up the piles of cut buckthorn around the lake on Monday, October 2nd
